Service Description: The designated growth areas in Lycoming County were developed as part of the multi-municipal comprehensive plans for the six urbanized planning regions. Those 6 consist of Greater Williamsport Alliance Planning Area, Lower Lycoming Creek Planning Area, Montoursville-Muncy Planning Area, Muncy Creek Planning Area, US 15 South Planning Area, and US 220/Future I-99 Planning Area.
Each planning area consists of a coordinating Planning Area Team (PAT). Team members from each PAT carefully reviewed the 2006 Comprehensive Plan Designated Growth and Future Growth Areas within their respective planning area, making recommended updates based on present day and projected population land use statistics.
